Frequently asked questions

Everything a team captain asks before entering — who can play, how to register, what it costs, and how refunds work — in one place.

Team & registration questions

Who can play — is this an adults-only tournament?
Yes. VolleyballGA runs 18-and-over, college-age divisions only (18+ (college)). Every player is an adult and self-signs a liability and photo/video release when their team registers — there is no separate youth or junior division, and no one under 18 is entered.
When and where is the next tournament?
Every scheduled event — with its date, venue, and city — is on the schedule. We play indoors across the Georgia / CSRA area; the areas we serve page lists the towns we run in. Dates are announced there as they lock, so the schedule is the one place to check.
How do I register my team?
Open the event you want on the schedule and use its Register button. You enter your team name, a captain contact, and your roster, then agree to the release. Spots are capped per event; once an event fills you can still join its waitlist and we promote teams in order as spots open.
How much does it cost to enter?
Entry is a flat fee per team, shown on each event's page on the schedule (it can vary by event). Some events open with an early-bird price for a limited window, so registering early can cost less. Payment is per team, not per player.
What is the refund policy if our team can’t make it?
Refunds follow a clear window — a full refund 15+ days out, half within 7–14 days, and none inside 7 days — and if we ever cancel an event, every paid team is refunded in full. The refund & cancellation policy has the exact terms, and an individual event may state its own.
What is the tournament format?
Most events run pool play into a seeded single- or double-elimination bracket, so every team plays several matches before the bracket. Scoring is kept live during the day and series standings carry across events for teams that play the series.
What should our team bring on the day?
Indoor court shoes, water, and your full roster of players. Bring a ball for your own warm-ups if you have one. Check-in is by team at the door — your captain checks the team in, and you'll get the day's schedule and court assignments on arrival.
How will we get schedule updates or a weather call?
Your registration confirmation comes by email, and any schedule change, court reassignment, or day-of note is sent to your captain the same way. Because play is indoors, events run rain or shine. Text-message updates are sent only to captains who opt in at registration.
How is our information handled?
We collect the minimum needed to run the event and never sell it. Card payments run through our checkout provider, so a card number never touches our systems. The data & privacy page states exactly what we keep and why.
Can a local business sponsor an event?
Yes — local sponsors put their name on flyers, the site, and court banners, and it is how we keep entry fees reasonable. The sponsor page lists the tiers and how to get in touch.

Still have a question?

The schedule has every event's date, venue, and fee, and each event page carries its own details. Local businesses can reach us through the sponsor page.
